centos - postfix + dovecot + mariadb send and recive email directory is not the same -

everyone. i'm install postfix + dovecot email system , , configure store virtual email account & password mariadb on centos 7. followed course step on step . lucky， succed start mariadb & postfix & dovecot. telnet pop3 , login & quit. found folders created @ '/home/vmail/$mydomain/$user/'. however, run 'telnet localhost smtp' , :

mail from: sales@example.com rcpt to: sales@example.com data test email. . quit 

i found succed . when folder /home/vmail, found there folders created '/home/vmail/vmail/maildir' , , new mail send '/home/vmail/vmail/maildir/new' folder. can't find setting 'virtual_mail_folder' in postfix configure file . wrong ? , how fix ? every answer helpful, thank you.
