i have ios app created using storyboards auto-layout. view controllers in navigation controller. several steps down navigation controller chain have button in vc1 connected vc2 via popover segue. when tap button, popover view appears blank. changed background color of vc2 see if view appearing. was. no subviews visible. have created , recreated vc2. have changed sizes of view, subviews , view controller. have manually , automatically created restraints. created test view controller outside of navigation view controller. behaved same view controllers in navigation controller.
just check if incompetent, created new project storyboard had 1 vc. placed button in vc popover segue second vc. worked desired. when button pressed popover appear , subviews of second vc visible. tried placing first vc in navigation controller no change. continued show popover should. have compared 2 projects , can't find problem is.
my question this: out there know of hidden setting cause behavior? or suggestions on i'm missing here?
well, after whole lot of time (and rewriting project scratch) found solution. apparently, using size classes messes popovers. solve solution, turned size classes off completely. app ipad worked me. according thread: ios8 size-classes , popover views can use any/any size class. using regular/regular size class. hope helps someone.
