according answers in this question, upgrading rc rtm supported , tested upgrade path. vs 2015 rtm out want that. however, can't find out interface menu it.
how upgrade visual studio community 2015 rc rtm version?
i did today - installed rtm version of visual studio community 2015.
all had download installer file , went through , updated rtm version. issue had missing intellisense, had close visual studio , run resetuserdata flag. after did that, intellisense started working again.
full command (start -> run): devenv.exe /resetuserdata
this doesn't open vs, cleared data , able restart...a few compatibility checker errors popped up, i'm running. customization gone, me it's not big deal start fresh.
update: using resharper, had upgrade latest version (from 9.0 9.0 update 1) working. ended disabling though performance suffering greatly. try investigating further later.
update 2: directed coworker update latest version, received error had pre-release version of vs web express. uninstalled web express , able continue.
update 3: i'm no longer having issues. believe resharper pushed out update , seems smooth. resharper version 9.1.3. there might few things here , there, nothing has been cause me regret upgrading. pretty typical stuff. far reward has outweighed risk. +1 upgrade vs 2015.
i've done upgrade on two of machines no issues 2 of own machines, , directed 2 other acquaintances upgrade well.
