user interface - Creating toggle groups in Unity 5 -


i understand in order create toggle group, have select game object want holder/parent of toggle objects, , in inspector, click on add component , of course select ui -> togglegroup

is wise select canvas holder/parent of group, or should create panel first , set panel holder/parent, or...?

is there set of guidelines , might design regarding situation?

depends on canvas. if screen overlay type advice create holder toggles, since might want have multiple toggle groups. if example world space canvas holding toggles adding toggle group component canvas shouldn't issue.
