ios - How to properly know from which edge a UIScreenEdgePanGestureRecognizer comes from? -

i have added uiscreenedgepangesturerecognizer on left , right edges of screen.

so far, know edge pan coming from, based on translation. if < 0, comes right edge, if > 0 comes left edge.

but in landscape, realized if example start panning right edge left (translation < 0) , come right edge , keep panning out of screen, translation becomes positive @ point.

i thought affect variable in uigesturerecognizerstate.began , check in uigesturerecognizerstate.end instead of translation i'm not sure best way.

so question: best way check comes screen edge pan?
