if refer http://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/analytics/premium/features.html, notice standard allows 10 million hits processed per month , premium allows 1 billion.
i have website on account, multiple "folders" different sub-domains, , different "views" or dashboards of these sub-domains.
the website on lost tracking conversion rates, , has plummeted near 0%, incorrect statistic. curious how can figure if account reaching 10 million limit on standard version. or @ least how figure actual hits processed day, week, or month?
any ideas?
thanks!
i don't know how google enforces hit limits in 2015. in 2013 google representative sent 1 of our bigger clients document (answering question data limits) contained following paragraph:
how data limits impact sampling? google analytics not sample clients data @ point of collection or processing, regardless of how far exceed our stated limits. no hits discarded. way sample data @ point of collection clients use_setsamplerate in tracking code.
[...]
[...] reserve right shutdown account [sc. if limits exceeded], won't happen before have attempted contact account admins multiple times , have exhausted other options.
unless google has changed it's policy in last 1,5 years not, unprocessed hits not problem; seems google have contacted request limit hits or upgrade analytics premium before problems occurr.
plus, since mentioned have several views - views not count towards quota (they display same data in different ways). properties (i think mean "folders") do.
updated 2017: seems google intends enforce limits more strictly. 1 of clients has following warning in ga interface:
your data volume (xxx hits) exceeds limit of 10m hit per month outlined in our terms of service. if continue exceed limit lose access future data.
